In short: the NiXA website has no advertising and no third-party content. Visits are measured with Matomo on our own server, and
only if you allow it: before that, no cookie is set and nothing is recorded.
The NiXA apps contain no analytics and no telemetry. Diagnostic data from Cloudseeker stays on your device and only leaves it if you
export it and send it yourself.
1. Who is responsible
Responsible for this website (controller under the GDPR) is Christian Hagenacker, the developer of NiXA, who publishes as Leicross. The
postal address, email and phone number are in the legal notice; write there for any privacy question.
2. Visiting this website
Server logs
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the web server, as for every website: your IP address, the date and time, the page
requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system (user agent). The server needs this to deliver the page and to keep it
secure (for example against attacks). These logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited time (according to Netlify, up to 30 days)
and then deleted. We do not evaluate them, combine them with other data or use them to identify or follow visitors.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in delivering a secure, working website).
Hosting
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (101 2nd Street, Suite 575, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA), which processes the server data described above on our behalf under a data
processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Netlify may process data in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which
Netlify is certified (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR), and on the EU standard contractual clauses in Netlify's data processing agreement
(Art. 46 GDPR). More in Netlify's privacy statement.
The domain's name servers are run by Cloudflare. They only translate the address nixa.dev into the server's address; the pages themselves do
not pass through Cloudflare.
No advertising, no third-party content
The website shows no advertising and embeds nothing from other companies: no social media plugins, no external fonts, no content delivery
networks, no videos or maps. Without your consent it sets no cookies and measures nothing.
Statistics with Matomo (only with your consent)
If you allow “Statistics” in the privacy notice, we measure how the website is used with Matomo, an open-source analytics tool. It
runs on our own Matomo instance at analytics.nixa.dev, not at Google or another analytics company. Before you agree, the site
does not contact this server, sets no cookie and records nothing.
With your consent Matomo records:
the pages you open, including the news list and each article you read, with the time spent on them;
on the news page: the words you search for, the tags you filter by and the number of results;
which share link of an article you click (only the name of the service, not what you share there), whether you read an article to its
end, links to other websites you click, a switch of the language and screenshots you open;
whether you came through an article's share link, and the referring website;
technical data: your IP address, shortened by two bytes before it is stored (for example 192.168.x.x), the
browser, operating system, screen size, language and approximate location derived from the shortened IP address (country).
Matomo uses these cookies, set only after your consent:

The data is used only to understand which content is read and to improve the website. It is not combined with other data, not used for
advertising and not passed on to anyone. Raw data is deleted after 180 days; only anonymous totals are kept. If your
browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, nothing is recorded even with consent.
Our Matomo instance is hosted by PikaPods on servers in the EU (provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany), which processes the data
on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The data does not leave the EU.
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future:
and turn off “Statistics”. Matomo then stops
recording and deletes its cookies.
What is kept in your browser
Apart from the statistics cookies above, the site keeps two small entries in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to any server.
Name
Content
Why
nixa-lang
en or de
The language you chose, so the site opens in it next time.
nixa-consent
Your choice in the privacy notice (statistics on or off) and its date
So the notice is not shown again on every visit.
Both are strictly necessary for a function you asked for and need no consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete them at any time in your
browser's settings (site data).
Share links in articles
The share links under an article (WhatsApp, Telegram, Mastodon, Bluesky, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook) are plain links. Nothing is loaded from
these services and nothing is sent to them while you read. Only when you click one does your browser open that service, with the article's
address and title, and without telling it which page you came from. From then on the privacy policy of that service applies.
Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, such as GitHub. They are only contacted when you click such a link.
3. The NiXA apps
NiXA and the game apps it builds contain no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising and no crash reporting service. They do not send data about
you or your games to the developer.
Your game files stay on your computer. NiXA reads them to build an app and does not change or upload them.
Save sync is optional. If you set it up, your saves are synced with your own Nextcloud (or iCloud Drive on Apple devices),
with the account you enter. The developer has no access to it. The app password is kept on your device.
Cloudseeker, the diagnostics recorder, is off until you turn it on and agree. It records how the app behaves while a game runs:
warnings, where NiXA stopped a game, crashes, frame times, memory use and temperatures. It leaves out saves, game files and pictures, keeps
everything on your device and has no network code. You can export a session as a ZIP file and decide yourself whether to share it and with
whom.
If you send a Cloudseeker report to the developer (for example with a bug report), it is used only to find and fix the problem, and
deleted when it is no longer needed for that. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, by sending it) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where you
send it (for example GitHub or email) is subject to that service's privacy policy.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data about you (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict its
processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), and to withdraw a consent at
any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Write to the contact address in the legal notice.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU country where
you live.
5. Changes
If the website or the apps change in a way that affects your data, this page is updated first. If a tool that processes visitor data is ever
added (for example privacy-friendly statistics), it is described here before it is used, and asked for in the privacy notice where consent is
needed.
Datenschutzerklärung
Stand: 6. November 2026

Keine Werbung, keine Inhalte Dritter
die Seiten, die du öffnest, auch die News-Übersicht und jeden Artikel, den du liest, mit der Verweildauer;
auf der News-Seite: die Wörter, nach denen du suchst, die Tags, nach denen du filterst, und die Zahl der Treffer;
liest, Links zu anderen Websites, die du anklickst, einen Sprachwechsel und Screenshots, die du öffnest;
ob du über den Teilen-Link eines Artikels gekommen bist, und die verweisende Website;

zusammengeführt, nicht für Werbung genutzt und an niemanden weitergegeben. Rohdaten werden nach 180 Tagen gelöscht;
Rechtsgrundlage: deine Einwilligung, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO und § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG.
Was in deinem Browser gespeichert wird
Teilen-Links in Artikeln
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (deine
